Not for Church Expense
I was shown that it is wrong to use the tithe for defraying the inci-
dental expenses of the church. In this there has been a departure from
correct methods. It would be far better to dress less expensively, cut
down your indulgences, practice self-denial, and meet these outgoings.
By so doing you will have a clear conscience. But you are robbing
God every time that you put your hands into the treasury for funds to
meet the running expenses of the church.—.
