glory of heaven. They had obtained the victory, and it called forth
from them the deepest gratitude, and holy, sacred joy.
The numbers of this company had lessened. Some had been shaken
out, and left by the way. [
“I know thy works, that thou art neither
cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou
art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of My

careless and indifferent, who did not join with those who prized victory
and salvation enough to perseveringly plead and agonize for it, did not
obtain it, and they were left behind in darkness, but their numbers were

hearing the truth, now eagerly laid hold of it. All fear of their relatives
was gone. The truth alone was exalted to them. It was dearer and more

of the third angel.”
