38 A Sketch of the Christian Experience and Views of Ellen G. White
According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise
master-builder I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon.
But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon:
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is
Jesus Christ.
Now if any man build upon this foundation, gold, silver, precious
stones, wood, hay, stubble;
Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare
it, because it shall be revealed by fire: and the fire shall try every man’s
work, of what sort it is.
1 Corinthians 3:10-13
.
Take heed, therefore, unto yourselves, and to all the flock over the
which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of
God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
For I know this, that after my departing, shall grievous wolves
enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things,
to draw away disciples after them.
Acts 20:28-30
.
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into
the grace of Christ, unto another gospel:
Which is not another: but there be some that trouble you, and
would pervert the gospel of Christ.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel
unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be
accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any
other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed,
Galatians 1:6-9
.
Therefore, whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness, shall be heard
[39]
in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear, in closets, shall
be proclaimed upon the house-tops.
And I say unto you, my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the
body, and after that have no more that they can do:
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: fear him, which, after
he hath killed, hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, fear
him.
Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings? and not one of them
is forgotten before God.
