The Ministry of Health and Healing
“God, who at various times and in different ways spoke in time
past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to
us by His Son, . . . who being the brightness of His glory and the
express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word
of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at
the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better
than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent
name than they. For to which of the angels did He ever say:
“‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You’?

And again:
‘I will be to Him a Father,

Hebrews 1:1-5.
The personality of the Father and the Son, also the unity that
exists between Them, are presented in the seventeenth chapter of
John, in the prayer of Christ for His disciples: “‘I do not pray for
these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their

that You sent Me.’”
John 17:20, 21
.
The unity that exists between Christ and His disciples does not
destroy the personality of either. They are one in purpose, in mind,
in character, but not in person. It is thus that God and Christ are one.
Character of God Revealed in Christ
Taking humanity upon Him, Christ came to be one with hu-
manity, and at the same time to reveal our heavenly Father to sinful
human beings. Only He who had been in the presence of the Father
from the beginning, only He who was the express image of the invis-
ible God, was able to reveal the character of the Deity to humankind.
In all things He was made like us. He became flesh even as we are.
He was hungry and thirsty and weary. He was sustained by food and
