Early Writings
behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for
His sake.
Philippians 1:6, 27-29
.
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His
good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without
rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom
ye shine as lights in the world.
Philippians 2:13-15
.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power
of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able
to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against
flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against
the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness
in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God,
that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done
all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth,
and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod
with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the
shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery
darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword
of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Praying always with all
prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with
all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
Ephesians 6:10-18
.
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one
another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians
4:32
.
[27]
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through
the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one
another with a pure heart fervently.
1 Peter 1:22
.
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another;
as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all
men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.
John 13:34, 35
.
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own
selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in
you, except ye be reprobates?
2 Corinthians 13:5
.
According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a
wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth
thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
